Liverpool physio Ruben Pons has provided fresh information about Mo Salah’s injury. He is hopeful that the star can recover from his shoulder injury within three weeks to be fit for the World Cup.
Salah was substituted with a shoulder injury in the 30
th minute of Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Now the player is in race against time to be available for the Group A clash against Uruguay.
‘Once we knew the injury we planned the treatment, he is sad about what happened but he is totally focused on recovery and seeing when he can be ready,’ Pons told Spanish outlet Marca. ‘He is going to mark the recovery times, in principle it will be from three to four weeks but we are going to try to reduce those deadlines, that’s the big goal.’
‘We knew that it was something serious as soon as [Salah] fell on the ground because he never complains, we were afraid of the worst,’ he said.
