Manchester United are close to announce their first summer signing

Manchester United are closing in on their first summer signing after triggering the release clause of Diogo Dalot. United triggered the £17million release clause in the 19-year-old’s contract and will make an announcement in the coming days, Jose Mourinho is working to add more quality to his defence and Porto right-back is set to become Red Devils’ first summer signing. When Dalot’s deal is done, he will have to compete with Antonio Valencia for a first-team place. Dalot attracted the attentions of several other top European clubs and Porto have turned down several offers for his services in the last 12 months. Mourinho is on the hunt for several new defenders this summer, with another full-back also on the agenda.
