Liverpool part-owner LeBron James sends message to club after Premier League title win

Liverpool shareholder and NBA star LeBron James congratulated the Reds following their Premier League title win. The Reds have crowned champions after Manchester City were defeated by Chelsea. Frank Lampard side beat second-placed City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and it handed the title to Liverpool, with seven games to spare. James reacted to the news with the Los Angeles Lakers superstar taking to Twitter. LeBron, who has won three NBA championships, wrote: "PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET’S GO @LFC #YNWA"

James reportedly bought a 2 per cent stake in the club in 2011 and has been a staunch supporter of Liverpool in the years since.
