Liverpool make contact with Napoli defender's agent over a possible move

Liverpool have entered the race for Manchester United long-term transfer target Kalidou Koulibaly. The Red Devils have failed in several bids to sign the defender in the last year with Napoli refusing to budge on their near £100million asking price. But Italian outlet Il Mattino now claim Liverpool have entered the race to sign Koulibaly. The Reds have even made contact with Koulibaly’s agent to ask about availability of the defender. They have been told that the player is available and now they are free to bring in the defender as a long-term partner for Virgil van Dijk. Napoli will only sell Koulibaly if a club offers between £98m and £107m for his services.
