Liverpool defender to snub new deal in favour of exit

Liverpool outcast Alberto Moreno has told the Reds he wants to return to Spain this month, according to reports in his homeland.

Moreno is out of contract this summer and with no new deal on the table, it’s likely Liverpool could cash-in this month rather than risk losing him on a free.

The Spaniard himself added: “I am in my fifth year here, there is no agreement on renewal and in January I am free to listen to any offer.”

Moreno – a four-cap Spain international – has played 90 times in the league since joining the Reds in 2014, but has played in just 30 games since the start of the 2016-17 season.
