Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has spoken out on Philippe Coutinho transfer to Barcelona back in 2018. Brazilian midfielder has joined Catalan side in £142 m deal. Liverpool have since reached Champions League final in two consecutive seasons, while Barcelona have suffered two incredible comebacks from Roma and Liverpool. "We tried to convince him that we had the club moving in the right direction and that he could experience big Champions League occasions by staying at Liverpool." Werner told Liverpool ECHO (via Daily Mail) "I think he probably regrets his decision," he added.  Coutinho is now linked with a move from Barcelona as Chelsea and Manchester United are interested. Liverpool, meanwhile will face Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Madrid. Source - Daily Mail
