Liverpool boss Klopp can get maximum from Barcelona flop, says pundit

Jurgen Klopp can get maximum from Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno. The 23-year-old’s failed to impress when he arrived at Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017. According to Sport, the LaLiga champions will place Dembele on the transfer list ahead of the upcoming market. There have been a few interested suitors with Juventus and Liverpool understood to be keen on the France international. Moreno believes Anfield would be the perfect destination for Dembele, who reportedly turned down the offer. “Well it’s enticing and it’s intriguing to believe that if there was ever a manager out there who could well get the very best out of Ousmane Dembele it would be Jurgen Klopp,” Moreno, 40, told ESPN. “And now, with the reports of Timo Werner perhaps going to Chelsea and Liverpool missing out on Timo Werner, that maybe if they’re going for a wide-area attacking player well maybe that could be Ousmane Dembele, why not? “And under the right circumstances and at the right price, if they meet Barcelona’s needs then I don’t see why this couldn’t work. I think a change of scenery could be good for Ousmane Dembele and I think going into a team like Liverpool would certainly be something that would benefit the player and maybe Jurgen Klopp is the guy who has the answers. “At some point though, Ousmane Dembele has to take a good look in the mirror and say: ‘What do I want out of my career and am I willing to make the sacrifices in order to make sure I can become the player that I think I can be?’.” Source: teamtalk
