“I am a little bit shocked,” Ashley Cole on Mourinho appointed as Tottenham head coach

Former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole has reacted to the news on Jose Mourinho being hired as Tottenham Hotspur head coach and said he is a little bit shocked. In an interview with talkSPORT, Cole has claimed that it is a great job for Mourinho to take: “I’m a little bit shocked, to be honest,” he said. “Obviously he was a Chelsea man and then went to Man United, and now he’s back. I appreciate the work he did at Chelsea and what he tried to do at Man United, and this is going to be a tough test for him. It is something different for him. When people talk about that sort of stuff, when they talk about rivalry, at the end of the day he wants a job and wants to get back into work. It’s a great job for him to take.” Ashley Cole had played at Chelsea under Mourinho during his two spells at Stamford Bridge from 2004-2007 and 2013-2015. Source- Chelsea News
