Leicester City’s James Maddison stance on future amid Manchester United transfer interest

Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is considering signing a new deal with the club despite Manchester United’s major interest, report Manchester Evening News. The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, but according to MEN Maddison can re-sign with Leicester. Sources close to the MEN claim that a new deal with the Foxes is not close, however, the playmaker can wait until the end of the season to define his future. Maddison is under contract with Brendan Rodgers’ side until 2023 and his stock has increased after his first England cap in the Euro 2020 7-0 win over Montenegro. At the Old Trafford they believe Maddison is in the perfect age to recruit as he turns 23 in November, and also he can be close with former teammate Harry Maguire. James Maddison has made 13 appearances for the Foxes this season so far, has netted 6 times and assisted twice. Source- Manchester Evening News
