LeBron James has opened up on his game-winner shot, following Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Clippers.
Lakers have celebrated a 103 - 101 win over the rivals as a clutch play by James late in the game led the team to victory. The NBA star attempted a mid-range shot that he missed but got his own rebound and converted it.
And speaking about his game-winning shot, Lakers' star said:
“I love having the ball in my hands late in the game. Tie game, being down, being up. We had a three-point game with, like, 40 seconds to go. We had a great look for Danny [Green], he missed it. Paul George came back and hit a three to tie the game.
For me I was just trying to be aggressive. I feel like I got some contact at the elbow by Marcus Morris. They didn’t call it. Like I was told when I was a kid and ever since I started playing basketball – if there’s no whistle, you keep playing on. I was able to follow my own shot and put us up. Put us up for good.”
