Kai Havertz makes Chelsea promise after Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner injury blows

Kai Havertz has made a promise to Chelsea fans anout the upcoming Premier League games after Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner suffer injury blows in the Champions League against Malmo. The 22-year-old was introduced to proceedings in the 23rd minute at the expense of the Belgian who twisted his ankle in the build-up to Jorginho's first penalty goal. Already in the second half Havertz, assisted by Callum Hudson-Odoi, netted for the Blues.
"For us it is a very good result to score four goals in our stadium is always good. I think it gives us a lot of confidence. Saturday is our next match so we have to just keep on going, recover well, and be fresh on Saturday again," Havertz said in his BT Sport post-match interview.   "Yeah it was a good goal. I think Callum did a good assist and I think the ball was very far but I tried to get it and knew that the goalkeeper would go down so the only choice I had was to chip it over the ‘keeper and it was good.   "I hope the injuries aren’t so bad and I came from the bench, you always have to be ready even though you’re sitting for 20 minutes.   "I tried to do my best also in the second half to score a goal and it’s a nice feeling. I don’t know what they have [injuries wise] but I just spoke to Timo and he said they have to see tomorrow to do an MRI. They’re top-level strikers and I just hope it’s not too bad for them.   "We know it is a very difficult competition but we have to win every game - that is our goal at Chelsea. Champions League or Premier League we don’t care, we want to win games and that’s our ambition for Saturday."
Chelsea's upcoming match is on Saturday, when they'll welcome Norwich City in the Premier League. Source - football.london Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
