Thomas Tuchel provides injury update on Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner after Malmo win

Chelsea celebrated a thrashing 4-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League group stage clash on Wednesday. Andreas Christensen opened the scoring already in the 9th minute, while Jorginho netted a penalty double. Kai Havertz also marked his name on the scoreheet, scoring his first Champions League goal this season. However, during the game both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner sustained injuries and after the win head coach Thomas Tuchel provided an update:
"I don't know too much more. Romelu twisted his ankle in the box and Timo has a hamstring injury. It will take a while for both of them.   "We need more examinations to be more precise but they will be out for some matches."
More on resting Lukaku, Chelsea boss added:
"If I knew before I wouldn't have done it. It was important he was on the pitch and he started very strong. I spoke with him about the situation, told him that I think he has some mental fatigue. But he is our number nine and is our reference.   "We wanted to build our attack today with Mason and Timo around him and I had the strong belief that in a Champions League match he could turn things around and turn things around in scoring and being decisive, which he did because he was super strong in our start.   "Without him maybe it's not 2-0. So I don't regret it. It's not a muscle injury or physical fatigue."
