Liverpool are preparing to host Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League today, October 2.

After 2-0 defeat to Napoli in the first group stage game, the Reds will hope to celebrate victory.

Liverpool’s last Champions League home game ended with a 4-0 victory over Barcelona in the semi-finals, which was a comeback against the La Liga side, as the Premier League side were defeated with a 3-0 score in the first leg.

Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp revealed that he wants the European crowd reunion.

“Let’s make it as it’s like a reunion with the European crowd,” said Klopp via Daily Mail.

“These European nights are based on the performances of all of us. I really hope we can create that atmosphere again.

“Salzburg are really intense. It will be an intense game and wild in moments. I could talk for two hours on what they do well, but what is really important is that they never played us. It is the most important message.

“We respect each opponent, that is in our DNA, when you come here we respect you and we show that with our attitude and the effort we put in. We really want to win this game.”
