Jurgen Klopp throws shade at Gareth Southgate and John Stones for England decision

Jurgen Klopp couldn't help but threw a shade on Gareth Southgate after the England boss called up John Stones but not Joe Gomez. The Manchester City centre-back hasn't played a minute of football under Pep Guardiola this season, however, at somehow, he earned a callup for the Three Lions' latest World Cup qualifiers squad. While Gomez, who already played 5 games this season for the Reds, wasn't called up by Southgate. Speaking on his Watford pre-match press conference, Liverpool boss said that by Southgate's criteria, if you haven't played regularly in the club level, you can't be called up to the national team, but "Mr Stones" always has a place there.

"Sometimes Gareth reacts if you are not playing for your club you can't play for the national team," said Klopp.   "Obviously there is a special thing for Mr Stones."
