Atletico Madrid to miss key man in Liverpool clash in Champions League

Atletico Madrid star Marcos Llorente has admitted he doesn’t know if he’ll play against Liverpool next week. The reigning La Liga champions host the Reds on Tuesday in a huge Champions League game for both clubs. Atletico have already suffered one awkward injury blow for this one, as Jose Gimenez will likely miss the game after returning injured from international duty. And now Llorente, who has emerged as a star midfielder over the last two years, isn’t sure he’ll make it.

“I don’t know if I will face Liverpool since it would come very soon and with few training sessions with the team,” he said, per Mundo Deportivo.   “It all depends on how things progress in the next few days.”
