Jurgen Klopp provides huge injury update ahead of Manchester City clash

Thiago Alcantara will miss Liverpool's weekend trip to Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. The Reds are currently leading the league table with 16 points, while they are set to face a serious test against Pep Guardiola's side on Sunday. Ahead of the clash, Klopp has provided an injury update, claiming Thiago will not feature for the upcoming match. "There was no surgery needed, but it was still an injury. The longer he is out, the longer he has to train before we consider him as a starting line-up player," he said. "Thiago will not be available for Sunday." The Spanish international continues his recovery process after picking up an injury in the Merseyside derby with Everton last month.
