Jurgen Klopp offers Takumi Minamino verdict after Liverpool debut against Everton

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised Takumi Minamino, following the Japanese midfielder's debut against Everton. The 24-year-old, who scored against the Reds earlier this season, was singed from Red Bull Salzburg for £7.75million and started against Everton in place of Roberto Firmino as the central attack. Liverpool celebrated their another win over Everton, as youngster Curtis Jones scored right after Minamino had been substituted. However, Klopp was delighted with the midfielder, saying: "He was super, outstanding, exactly the player we wished for. In your first game for a team you don't know, it’s not a settled team, it's already difficult, this team we threw together on the pitch with basically two sessions together, to show this sort of understanding, his football skills were exceptional and his attitude was outstanding." Being asked about the reason of Minamino's substitution, Klopp added: "He led the chasing pack so often in. He didn't look tired, but we don’t know the player that well yet so we took him off."
