Jurgen Klopp 'makes Philippe Coutinho decision'

Liverpool are not interested in signing Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian looks set to leave Barcelona this summer and return to the Premier League. According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, who explained that Newcastle are the club most likely to land Coutinho this summer. Coutinho were on a season-long loan from Barcelona at Bayern Munich, but the German club refused to activate the option to buy the player for £100million at the end of the campaign. Coutinho has scored 21 goals in 76 outings for Barcelona after moving in a club-record £140million fee from Liverpool in January 2018. "Liverpool are not interested, no offer has existed and I understand that the work the representatives have to do is to make it look like there is an auction but there isn't such a thing at the moment,” Balague told Catalan newspaper Sport, as cited by the ECHO. "The favourites, if you have to choose from the Premier League, are Newcastle if the (takeover) bid comes in and if they make an offer for him of some kind that Barcelona is happy with. They want to get rid of Coutinho, that's for certain, but at this point everything is possible including him staying but that seems unlikely." Source: LiverpoolECHO
