Jurgen Klopp issues Dejan Lovren injury update following FA Cup clash with Wolves

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has spoken out on Dejan Lovren’s injury after the centre-back limped off against Wolves. Lovren was withdrawn after just six minutes in the FA Cup clash and called upon 16-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever as there were no senior defenders. Lovren’s injury seems to be a serious one as he has picked up a hamstring injury. “I don’t know in this moment,’ Klopp replied to a question about how long Lovren might be sidelined for. “Can you use the transfer market to make a solution for two weeks? It’s really difficult,’ he said. ‘I don’t know exactly with Dejan, obviously it’s a muscle, out of the blue. ‘I asked around, but he wasn’t in the best mood at that moment. “We cannot use him and him and him and Dejan was on the edge. It was just the wrong moment. ‘I don’t see a solution for two weeks, unless the rules will completely change.’ Liverpool have been linked with Brighton defender Pascal Gross this week in the midst of the injury crisis," Klopp added.
