Joe Cole compares to Chelsea star to David Beckham after heroic Ajax comeback

Joe Cole has compared Reece James to former England captain David Beckham. James became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Blues fought back from 4-1 down, to draw with Ajax 4-4 in their Champions League group stage. James, 19, came off the bench to score the fourth goal of the Blues at Stamford Bridge. At the age of 19 years 332 days, James beat the previous record set by Arjen Robben. “When I was playing in America [with Tampa Bay Rowdies], I came around to train with the kids [at Chelsea],” Cole told BT Sport after the game.  “We were having shooting session and the kids’ shooting was erratic, but James was on the money, whipping crosses, it was like watching Beckham.”
