Jamie Redknapp names the Tottenham player who was 'exceptional' during Southampton win

Ryan Mason's first game as a manager ended with a late Spurs. Gareth Bale and Son Heung-min's second-half strikes sealed three points for Tottenham Hotspur. Despite Son grabbing the winner, it was Bale who was awarded the Man of the Match award and the Welshman was singled out for praise by former Tottenham captain Jamie Redknapp. "Gareth Bale was exceptional all game, he was the difference. Everything he seemed to do, there was amazing skill and pace, he seemed like he was bang at it today," Redknapp told Sky Sports. Bale's goal was a fantastic left-footed effort. "It’s such a good finish, we’ve seen him do this so many times, getting it onto his favoured left foot and finds the corner - he makes it look so easy. He’s not got a lot of the goal to aim for, two players closing him, clips it into the top corner. Beautiful,” he said.
