Ryan Mason provides injury update on Harry Kane ahead of EFL Cup final

Tottenham picked up their first win under Ryan Mason on Wednesday against Southampton. Danny Ings opened the scoring by the end of the first-half, and already in the second half Gareth Bale’s goal and Son Heung-Min’s penalty strike handed Spurs a desirable win. Harry Kane missed the game due to ankle injury. Spurs striker played against Everton last week, netting a brace, however, was unfortunate to pick up an injury. After the Wednesday's win, Mason provided an injury update on Kane. "With Harry it is just about taking it each day as it comes," said Tottenham's new interim coach. "We know he is doing absolutely everything he can to be back out on the football pitch. Today he wasn't but hopefully by the end of the week we will know about bit more about that. "In terms of going into the weekend of course it was important to go into the weekend on the back of a positive result and performance and from the second half we can take huge belief from it." Spurs are set to play Manchester City in the EFL Cup final on Sunday at the Wembley Stadium. Source- football.london Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
