Jamie Carragher speaks out on Coutinho's return to Liverpool and if he would've bought him back

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says he would've brought Coutinho back to Liverpool, if Barcelona demanded affordable price. Brazilian international, who has completed a La Liga move on January of 2018 for 142 m, hasn't impressed Catalan club bosses so far. And after his two poor performances against Merseyside club in Champions League semi-finals, Coutinho is now under a big pressure, especially after Antoine Griezmann has announced he will leave Atletico Madrid amid Barcelona interest. Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG are interested in signing Coutinho. Sky Sport pundit Carragher, however, believes, Brazilian is the kind of player Jurgen Klopp needs most right now. "I wouldn't say I would be actively going to get him, but if there was a possibility of bringing Coutinho back for decent money, and Barca wanted to cut their losses a little bit because it hasn't worked out, then I'd do that," Carragher told LiverpoolECHO. "Would he be welcomed back? I'm not sure. But he should be. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be." he added. Former England national team man also brought examples of Luis Suarez, Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano, mentioning the fact, that fans love those player who left Anfield to join either Barcelona or Real Madrid. "Suarez only got stick when he came back because of his antics in the first game (against Liverpool), if he hadn't done that then he'd be adored when he came back. What's the difference between him and Coutinho?" Carragher continued. "We lack that player in the squad. We have it in Lallana and Shaqiri, but this is a different level of player. "It's the one thing Man City have on us, they have Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne. We don't have that type of player." he concluded. Source - LiverpoolECHO
