Jamie Carragher makes Kevin de Bruyne Manchester City admission

Jamie Carragher has insisted Kevin de Bruyne is the best player in the Premier League. The former Liverpool star thinks the midfielder will have a long career with Manchester City due to his amazing passing range. The Belgian midfielder was once again the star of the show for City. They beat Wolves 3-1 at Molineux in their Premier League opener. “Sometimes, different players get PFA Player of the Year, someone can have a great season, but if you ask me, even if he didn’t get that award, he’s the best player in the Premier League," Carragher told Sky Sports. "I used to say that about Eden Hazard before he moved to Real Madrid, whether he won PFA Player of the Year, for me, the best player. I would say De Bruyne, when we talk about the best players in the world now, I would put him as top of the second-band of players behind Messi and Ronaldo. "I would put him top of that list, if you said to me who I would want in my team, it would be Kevin De Bruyne. The numbers he gets with assists and with goals, I think he’s a manager’s dream. "He can play the number 10 position, he plays right of a three, and even speaking to Roberto Martinez, he plays him in central midfield for Belgium. "He will have great longevity in his career because I still think he’d have that ability to play that deeper role maybe when his legs go a little bit because he’s got a great engine, but his passing ability is possibly as good as anything we’ve ever seen in the Premier League. He can play that role when he’s in his mid-30s, no problem."
