James Maddison has private motive to join Arsenal

Arsenal are quite keen on signing Leicester City's James Maddison, as they have made a bid for a swap deal. However, the Foxes have turned it down. Maddison, although is not against the move. According to The Guardian, the playmaker believes a move to the Emirates could help his development. Plenty of stars including Ben Chilwell, N'Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez and Harry Maguire have all moved on from Leicester City in recent years, with three of the four winning silverware. However, Gunners aren't in a great position to win trophies this coming season, but they are a team in transition and have shown ambition this summer in snapping up young England defender Ben White.
