Ivan Rakitic chooses one football legend "to play with" despite naming the other one as "the best in the world" 

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has revealed he wants to play with Crisitano Ronaldo, in spite of their former rivalry in Spain. The Croatian international joined the Catalan giants from Sevilla back in 2014. He has made 294 appearances for Quique Setien's side, winning four La Liga titles and the Champions League in 2015. Recently 31-year-old was targeted by Serie A club Juventus for the January transfer window. As Rakitic is close to leaving Camp Nou, he has revealed his desire to play with Real Madrid legend Ronaldo.

He told Bleacher Report: "Of course I would [want to play with him]. He is also one of the greatest players in history. You enjoy watching him play and he's doing well at Juventus."

In spite of his wish to play the Portuguese, he considers that team-mate Lionel Messi as the best player in world football.

"It's amazing to play with him - he's special. There have been great players in every era, but I'm sure he's been the best in the last 15 years. In my opinion, I think he's the best of all time. Being with him for six years has been incredible," he added.
