"It’s embarrassing": Roy Keane slams Tottenham summer signing after yesterday's international display

Roy Keane has slammed Tottenham's summer signing Matt Doherty after the player's international performance for the Republic of Ireland on Sunday. Doherty's national team faced a 1 - 0 defeat to Wales in the Nations League, while former Manchester United man had some harsh words on Spurs defender.  "I am looking at Doherty now and he’s 28 years of age," he said. "Dan James does what he does, he gets beyond people. Kieffer Moore gave them a little bit more presence. Bale attacks it well.  "But you look at Doherty [trying to win the header against Bale at the far post]...he spoke after the game against England and how it’s embarrassing, at the moment. "Well, he should be embarrassed with his defending." Doherty has played 10 times for Jose Mourinho's side this season after completing a £15m move from Wolves in the summer.
