Inter Milan make request to Manchester United over Alexis Sanchez loan

Inter Milan reportedly want to extend Alex Sanchez's loan for the second time so that he can play in the Europa League. The Serie A side have already extended the in-form Chilean’s deal once to let him finish off the rearranged season in the beginning of August. Just a few days later they have their Europa League last-16 second-leg clash against Getafe, though Sanchez currently would not be eligible to play. According to Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio talks have restarted with Inter asking United for Sanchez to be allowed to play in the Europa League. Their case has been boosted somewhat due to the two sides being drawn apart and they cannot meet until the final, with Inter proposing a penalty fee should that happen in an effort to get the deal over the line. And unlike in the Premier League, there are no rules that prohibit a loan player playing against their parent club in the Europa League. Inter are also considering other options, including securing a loan extension that would cover next season as well, or even buying the 31-year-old outright if United will agree. Source- Metro
