Ian Wright thinks the winner of the Golden Boot will be either Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah or Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Speaking on his Wrighty’s House podcast, former Arsenal star tipped Spurs star to be the league’s top scorer.
Kane is currently ahead on 19, with Salah just behind on 18. He mentioned Patrick Bamford as a contender, but feels he might have just slipped off the pace.
“The Golden Boot, I think it’s out of Salah and Kane,” said Wright. “If Liverpool get through (in the Champions League), they might start resting Salah.
“I don’t think he’s got a choice, Klopp will just take him off – I love that about Klopp. Kane needs to start thinking about his legacy – the individual awards he can win.
“I’m still going to go with Kane because he’s in a situation where he has to be scoring to give him the confidence going into the Euros.
“He doesn’t hardly ever miss the target. I was surprised he didn’t score four goals the other day against Newcastle. You don’t need to win the league to win the Golden Boot!”
