Manchester United have reached the Europa League final of the 2020/2021 season and are preparing to face Villarreal. The Red Devils reached the final after beating AS Roma with an 8-5 on aggregate score.

Ahead of the final, let’s take a look at how United’s lineup looked the last time they were in the Europa League final. The Red Devils reached the UEL final back in 2016/17 season when they faced Ajax and celebrated a 2-0 victory and lifted the trophy. Goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan helped Jose Mourinho’s side celebrate the victory.

 

 

And here is how the Red Devils lined up against Ajax.

David De Gea, Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Michael Carrick and Timothy Fosu-Mensah were the substitutes for the game. Rooney, Martial and Lingard were subbed on in the second half.

From the winning team, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Sergio Romero, De Gea, Jones, Lingard and martial are still with the Red Devils.
