Arsenal midfielder and Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan has expressed his point of view about two different players in an interview with Russian
Ria Novosti. The player has referred to Barcelona former midfielder Xavi Hernandez and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo who differ from each other with their physical abilities.
“I would like to speak about the main thing to combine these two players. Football isn’t played with feet or body, but first of all with head. It’s already secondary how much you are quick or slow. It’s more important the fact how quick is your mind on the pitch. Xavi is one of the slowest players in the world but I would never compare his mind’s speed with anybody’s.
"Ronaldo is running extremely fast and it’s often left unnoticed the correctness of any position he chooses on the pitch. Do you understand what I mean? A man can be gifted with many physical abilities by nature but if his head is empty, it’s useless to speak about playing football,” the midfielder said.
