Hector Bellerin supports Raheem Sterling after incident in Chelsea win over Manchester City

Hector Bellerin has supported Raheem Sterling after he was racially abuse by a Chelsea fan. Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has posted on social media to highlight his concerns at how black footballers are portrayed in the media. The Manchester City midfielder produced an Instagram post the morning after he was abused during the defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Gary Neville admitted treatment of Sterling is different to the likes of Harry Kane. The 43-year-old even criticised his own actions from that period. Neville said: "He accepted that he would get criticism playing for England, for his performance levels. "He accepted that he would be scrutinised for being an England player, he didn't want any special treatment. But it was so vicious, he felt so targeted and he didn't know what to do about it. "I saw somebody who's got a great mentality and who is so tough, but also a level of vulnerability in terms of how does he deal with it, cope with it, come out of it? "Really as a coach, to be fair, me, being honest with you now and reflecting on it I didn't really know how to deal with it. "[We'd say] 'Raheem you're a great player, we love you to bits,' which to be fair we did as coaching staff, he played nearly all the games for us. "We tried to patch him up really - you'd never really be dealing with the underlining issue, and maybe you never would be able to in that sort of session - but actually reflecting now, maybe even brushing it aside a little bit, being honest with you." When Neville's words were posted on social media it didn't take long for Arsenal's Bellerin to interact. The Spanish defender said: "So much truth being said here... ", praising Neville's words beyond that EURO2016 story. https://twitter.com/HectorBellerin/status/1072244405992591365
