Everton defender Leighton Baines has announced his retirement after his 18-year spell in football.

The 35-year-old has made 420 appearances for the Toffees, since joining the team for £6million from Wigan back in 2007. During his playing time at Goodison Park, he has recorded 39 goals and 67 assists.

As the day has come for Baines to leave Everton, fans took Twitter to share their thoughts on his retirement.
