Former Manchester United man Rio Ferdinand has urged Harry Maguire to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Former Leicester City man has currently found his playing time limited at the club failing to impress under the Dutch boss Erik ten Hag. The defender has been at the center of tense criticism for a long term due his poor form.
Ferdinand believes Maguire needs a new challenge in order to save and breathe fresh air into his career amid the England international's struggles.
“I think he needs to. If he wants to resurrect his career he has to go in the summer," said on his YouTube channel.
“He cannot stay there and play second fiddle. If he genuinely wants to stay as an England player and get back on track.”
Maguire has been recently linked with a move to the Premier League rivals, Newcastle United. According to the latest report by 90min, Eddie Howe's side are interested in the defender's services.
