Gini Wijnaldum reacts to Barcelona transfer rumour

Liverpool's Gini Wijnaldum has responded to rumours he could be reunited with his former Holland boss Ronald Koeman at Barcelona. Reports have suggested the Catalan giants are preparing an offer for Wijnaldum. The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his Reds contract with discussions having been on hold for some time over a new deal. When asked on Thursday about the possibility of moving to Barcelona during this transfer window, Wijnaldum said: "It’s a rumour, I have nothing to say about it." Wijnaldum also wished Koeman all the best in his new role. "Of course it is a shame that he left, but we are also very happy for him," said the Liverpool midfielder.
