Giannis Antetokounmpo has explained why he didn’t guard Jimmy Butler in crunch time during the Miami Heat match on Monday. Butler was an unstoppable force for the Miami Heat and he led his team to a surprise Game 1 victory over the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks. The newly-crowned Defensive Player of the Year winner Giannis Antetokounmpo was not tasked to guard Butler down the stretch, and after the contest, the Bucks superstar shed some light on why this came to be. Giannis had a simple explanation: it just wasn’t the matchup Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer drew up:
