Giannis Antetokounmpo makes candid claim over Kobe Bryant’s challenge to him

The Milwaukee Bucks are the NBA Champions for the first time in 50 years. Bucks beat Phoenix Suns 105-98 in the Game 6 and became champions with 4-2 total score. After the game Giannis Antetokounmpo reminisced on Kobe Bryant once having a discussion with him about what his goals should be and how great the former Lakers legend thought the Greek Freak could be with the Bucks and in the NBA.

“This started almost like a joke at first. He was in a Nike ad and he was sending challenges to players to Isaiah Thomas, DeMar DeRozan and all that.   "I was like, ‘Yeah, let me just shoot my shot. What’s my challenge?’ And he was like ‘MVP.’ At first, I was joking, I didn’t think he was going to respond to me, but when he did, he made me believe. I’m like ‘Kobe Bryant thinks I can do this? I can play at a high level, lift my team and win MVP?’ I had to do it.” – Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
