Gary Neville sends instruction to Dean Smith after Aston Villa defeat to Arsenal

Gary Neville has sent some instructions to Dean Smith following their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Friday. Neville thinks that the Aston Villa head coach needs to simplify his side's way of playing. Villa have now lost 5 of their last 7 games and fans are disappoined with the style and manner in the previous couple of defeats. Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Manchester United star has made some comments.
"I was worried by the first-half," Neville said.   "I do think that system is really tricky, if Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka push the wing-backs back, who is going to cover the width of the pitch from a defensive point of view?   "You can never find a point to really trigger the press and then you're letting the team out all the time and then Arsenal just kept on with wave after wave of attack.   "I do not know how you even coach that system, but 5-2-1-2 to me, I am not sure how I begin to move.   "Where are my passes? Emi Buendia is not working out of that system.   "I think it might be a case of going back to something a little bit more basic of what they were doing last season."
