Gabriel Martinelli has claimed he is "ready" whenever Mikel Arteta needs to call on him after scoring for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
The first-half was goalless, however, already in the second-half Bukayo Saka opened the scoring.
Just ten minutes later Martinelli, who subbed Saka, doubled the Gunners’ lead assisted by Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Brazilian will be hoping his brief cameo was enough to convince Arteta to make him a more regular fixture in his plans, and he insisted with a four-word message to his boss than
"I am always ready".
Speaking to BT Sport after the 2-0 win, Martinelli said:
"As I always say, even if I play two, five, ten minutes I am always ready to play and show something to the team, the manager and the fans.
"This victory was everyone, not just me. It was everyone; the team, the staff, the fans."
