Gabriel Jesus warns Euro rivals Manchester City have matured

Gabriel Jesus believes Manchester City are finally coming of age as a European force.

The 22-year-old reckons they are maturing all the time and are now better prepared than ever.

Manchester City have won back-to-back Premier League titles and Jesus says the Champions League is the prize he wants most.

He said: “The work that the club has been doing speaks for itself. City has been growing a lot. Two Premier League titles in a row, four trophies last season, playing very good football.

“Liverpool had a very good season, losing just one game — yet they didn’t win. Not because they weren’t good but because of our own merits. We kept a high level of concentration because we couldn’t miss a point.

“So we are more prepared now. We’ve gone out of the Champions League a couple of times on goal difference. But we are more mature and hopefully this season we can be better.”
