Furious Chelsea boss Frank Lampard slams Blues

Frank Lampard slammed his Chelsea rookies after they lost two points in the game against Brighton on their first game of the year.  Furious Lampard was frustrated his players failed to follow instructions. The Blues boss said: “It was an incredible equaliser — but that was two points dropped. If we had been ruthless in the first half, the game would have been out of sight. We didn’t have multiple chances but we had control and opportunities to play people in. Yet we didn’t do it. Sometimes you can accuse teams of a lack of fight or urgency. But today was about a lack of quality on the ball. “But today was about a lack of quality on the ball. And this was a game where we should have had the mindset to kill it, and didn’t. So it’s shown the good and the bad of us and that we have work to do. You have to know how to win games. That’s part of the process. “In the second half we didn’t do enough at that point. If Jorginho gets shut down there has to be other ways to play. It was a collective lowering of quality.” Source- The Sun
