Former NBA Star: “Lakers needed LeBron for one season”

According to the former Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks star Baron Davis, LeBron James was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers to help the young stars flourish. “Outside of LeBron, the Lakers have talent,” Davis told the Rich Eisen Show. “They’ve been getting better over the last few years, you look at Brandon Ingram, Kuzma from last year to this year, even Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart - all those guys have improved and they have the talent to compete. “They needed someone like LeBron to come in and really blend that leadership. And he can be the person to take the brunt of the force for everything. They have someone to take, accept, initiate, deflect all of the attention and distractions and he’s built for that. This allows these guys to really get better.”
