Tottenham are "weighing up" a move for Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, according to an update from football.london journalist
Alasdair Gold in a recent Q&A [14:42].
Hojbjerg has become a key player for the Saints. He has been described as a "
great leader" by teammate Angus Gunn last season. This term the midfielder has made 27 Premier League appearances for the club.
The 24-year-old has one year left on his current deal at Southampton, with the player admitting he wants to move on to a higher level.
Previously a report from
Sky Sports indicated that the midfielder could be valued at around
£35 million. However, the deal can materialise if chairman Daniel Levy gives the green light during the recent coronavirus outbreak.
Hojbjerg has made more tackles this season than any Spurs midfielder – with only Serge Aurier and Japhent Tanganga exceeding his 2.4 per game average, according to
WhoScored.
