Liverpool have missed out on signing KAS Eupen youngster Ardjouma Junior Diomandé after Nice moving to secure his signature, according to
Foot Mercato.
The Belgian youngster joined Eupen from Genk last summer. He has been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, Lyon, and Real Madrid.
Lyon were the first side to go for the defender, with their training director Jean-François Vulliez promising the player having training with the senior team.
However, the report claims Nice consider Diomandé's transfer a "great operation" for the club and are eager to include him in their first team squad as soon as possible.
