Fabrizio Romano provides big Manchester City update on Sergio Aguero

Fabrizio Romano has discussed Inter Milan’s links with Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, speaking on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast. Since arriving at City from Atletico Madrid in what was a £36 million deal back in 2011, Aguero has proved an incredible success at the club, scoring 254 goals and providing 73 assists over his 370 appearances for the Citizens, helping his side to win an array of trophies along the way. But with the £37.8 million-rated 32-year-old’s contract at City set to expire next summer, reports have emerged which claim that Inter are keen on a move for the Argentina international, should he become a free agent in 2021. The Nerazzurri’s reported interest in the centre-forward was one topic of conversation on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast, however, Romano appeared to be less than convinced of Inter’s intentions to bring Aguero to San Siro next summer. He said: “At the moment there is nothing between Inter and Manchester City for Sergio Aguero, absolutely nothing. Manchester City consider Aguero as an important player for the future. He’s turned 32, if I’m not wrong, but they consider him as part of the future of the club, also for next season. "They don’t want to lose Sergio Aguero, and at the moment, Inter [are saying], ‘we have never contacted his agents’. So, there is nothing between Inter and Aguero. "You [also] have to consider the situation of wages, because at Inter, they have players like Lautaro Martinez, who earns [around] €2 million per season, and Sergio Aguero [earns] €13 million per season, with add-ons if he wins the Champions League, if he wins the Premier League and [so on]. So, at the moment, [it is] really difficult to see players like Sergio Aguero joining Inter. “If Inter will sell Lautaro Martinez, we will see, but, at the moment, there is nothing.” Source- This Is Futbol Join us on Telegram
