Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Julian Draxler is the kind of player Leeds United will be looking at during this January transfer window. During the summer transfer window, reports suggested that Leeds are interested in signing the 27-year-old.
Speaking to Give Me Sport, Romano was asked whether there was anything in the links between Leeds and Draxler, and he responded:
“It’s not decided by Pochettino yet, but Pochettino asks for some days to decide about these kind of players that were not playing, like Draxler. So in the first meeting he had with Leonardo he said ‘give me some days to decide about these players and then we will decide if (we are) selling them’.
“For sure, Leeds are looking for this kind of player, at Draxler, at Rodrigo de Paul, but they won’t spend like €35 to €40 million for this kind of player. So it will be an opportunity if Paris Saint-Germain will decide for example, to sell Draxler on loan, they will consider this kind of opportunity. If not, I think it will be difficult.”
During this season, Draxler has made 10 appearances so far in which he has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist.
