Ex-Everton star Kevin Mirallas hits out at Sam Allardyce for his working style
Former Everton midfielder Kevin Mirallas has hit out at Sam Allardyce for not spending much time on the pitch during the training sessions.Belgium international, who has been a key player for Toffees for several seasons, left the club in 2018 (when Allardyce took charge of Everton) to join Greek side Olympiacos on loan deal. During the interview with The Athletic Mirallas has revealed the differences between Allardyce and Ronald Koeman and Roberto Martinez.“I don't know if he even knew football because he only spent five minutes on the pitch in training. Nobody knows this, but it's true. That's difficult. You have to pick players at the weekend but you don't watch training.” Mirallas said.“I only stayed for one month while he was there but I spoke to some players and they told me it was very difficult. It's true he won a lot of games, but they didn't enjoy it.” he added.Allardyce left Everton in 2018, while Mirallas had another season on loan at Italian side Fiorentina before finally leaving Merseyside club to join Antwerp.
