Sadio Mane has revealed how Liverpool squad reacted to the incident between him and Mohamed Salah during the Reds' 3-0 win over Burnley, back in August.
Senegalese international left unhappy with the selfishness of Salah, who haven’t passed the ball to him or to Roberto Firmino in some episodes.
Although after the game it was clear that everything is sorted out between the two, but the football fans and media couldn't stop discussing the incident.
Months later, Mane has revealed what really happened between him and Salah and also how his teammates reacted to the incident.
“It was a misunderstanding, I just wanted to help the team," said Mane.
"You look at teams like City, they sometimes score five or six. If there’s a possibility to kill off the game as quickly as possible all the while trying to score many goals, I think that’s important, and so I was a bit frustrated.
“We just talked, and everything was like before. We talked between ourselves, and then the manager called me into his office and we spoke. I told him it was already sorted and he was pleasantly surprised”.
“Everyone was taking the p**s out of us," Mane added while speaking about the squad's reaction.
"Wijnaldum, who likes to tease people, waited until everyone was there, came up to me and asked out loud ‘Mo Salah, why did Mane want to hit you?’ and the whole team started laughing."
