Everton-linked "real talent" likely to be sold and club better have "war chest", manager claims

Burnley winger Dwight McNeil, who is reported to be linked with Everton, could be sold by his club, but only for a sum akin to a “war chest”, according to The Mirror. The 20-year-old has impressed with his form at Turf Moor over the past 18 months, establishing himself as a key member of Sean Dyche’s squad this campiagn. He has featured in 58 games for the the Clarets since his arrival, with scoring 5 goals and assisting 10 times. And a number of big name clubs have been linked with McNeil’s services including Everton, Wolves, Leicester City, Manchester United and Juventus. Getty Images Speaking about McNeil, Burnley boss Sean Dyche said: “There’s a reality when players come in, particularly when we’ve developed them as lower-league players for less money or the likes of Dwight McNeil. “But I can assure you it will only happen if the numbers are correct. “The numbers now in our world are high and we’re in a position to say no, we don’t need to sell anyone. “So if anyone wants to come for any of our players, they had better have a war chest.” Source- The Boot Room
