Evening Standard: Gareth Bale open to exit Real Madrid after manager's comments about him

Gareth Bale is open to leaving Real Madrid after the club boss Zinedine Zidane's latest comments on him, the London Evening Standard suggest. The Wales international has been linked with the move to his former side Tottenham amid the criticism over him at the Spanish side. But Bale's agent's Jonathan Barnett claimed that the player has no intention to leave the club. However, the 31-year-old's absence in the Champions League squad rose the talks over his possible quit. Zidane revealed that Bale didn't want to travel to Manchester for the upcoming game. It should be noted that the main reason of his reluctance to travel is connected with the fact that Bale knew he wouldn't be selected to play in the first-team. Now it is suggested that the £85 million winger will be open to leaving his side, and Spurs would be keen to bring him back to North London. Though Bale's wages could keep him in Spain unless the club is willing to pay a portion of them, or the winger is willing to take a huge salary cut.
